By law when a pool is installed a pool safety fence must also be installed. When owning a pool they can be very enjoyable; at the same time there are safety guidelines that must be followed as well. Whether you are installing an above ground or underground pool the same safety rules still apply. There are children injured and even killed everyday due to safety neglect from pool owners. You have the option of choosing a safety pool fence or pool net. Installing a Pool Net is less expensive than professionally installing a fence. Having a fence installed around your pool can be quite costly; a pool net must be placed on after each swim. The net will prevent babies and small children from falling into the pool; they will fall onto the net instead. Your number one priority when owning a pool should be safety; even if you do not have smaller children. It has often happened where the neighbor’s children have wondered off and fell into pools.
Pool nets come with pulleys and ratchets so that it easily installs and uninstalls; this would be a cheaper alternative to installing a fence. According to government statistics many accidents due to falling in pools result in brain damage; many that are disabling. Also teach your children about pool safety and how important it is to be cautious near pools. There are other safety products on the market today; such as pool alarms. I am unaware of how accurate a pool alarm is so do research before purchasing one. There are also mesh pool safety fences unlike chain link fences these fences have been used by many pool owners and are quite nice in fact. They go all the way around your pool as a chain link fence would, but they are mesh instead. These pool fences can be installed by a professional and of course you have the option of a chain link fence.
