Having a new baby can be a lot of work. Especially once they start moving around and becoming more mobile you need to take the proper preventative steps to keep them safe. One of the first things you should buy as soon as baby comes home from the hospital are gates baby can hold on to and crawl by without falling down the stairs. A baby gate can also be set up between rooms for times when you want to keep your little one from crawling in the kitchen while you are making dinner on a hot stove.

There are various gates baby can use to keep him safe. There are the baby gates for stairs, which are the most basic. There are wood, metal and plastic baby gates you can find to set up at the top or bottom of a set of stairs. This keeps the baby from making their way up or down and possibly injuring themselves.

This is especially true during warmer months if you plan to be using them a lot or keeping them open to get fresh air in. Even if your child is toddler age, they are not old enough to be going outside on their own. We have heard enough horror stories of young children who somehow managed to sneak their way out of the house.

Cute babies are so curious and as they learn to crawl, they want to check out everything they can find. Keep them safe with the right child safety gates set up in your home, at least until they have learned how to walk fully and you can trust them going safely up and down stairs and into other rooms of the home. It takes only a few seconds to set up each baby gate and it will be more than worth it to know your precious child will be safe.
